<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure high silencing performance and exhaust gas purifying performance, improve appearance and prevent thermal harm around an exhaust device by lowering the center of gravity of a body and concentrating weight mass while effectively using a limited space when installing the exhaust device. <P>SOLUTION: A motorcycle has an engine 3 disposed before a pivot bracket 5, which is provided at a central part of a body frame 2, and a rear wheel suspension 26 disposed after the pivot bracket. A swing arm 25 for supporting a rear wheel 24 is vertically swingably supported on a pivot shaft 23 installed in a vehicle width direction on the pivot bracket 5 and is shock-absorbingly suspended by the rear suspension 26. An oil pan 8 disposed on a lower face of the engine case 6 of the engine 3 is biased to the body front and is bulged downward to ensure a necessary inner volume. An expansion chamber 59 of the exhaust device 50 is disposed between a bulged part 8a and the rear wheel 24 and below the pivot bracket 5 and the swing arm 25 and a muffler 60 is connected to a rear side of the expansion chamber 59. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
