PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing powdery material with an atomizing pyrolysis method with which large quantity of high quality powdery materials can be produced with little energy. SOLUTION: In a powdery material-producing apparatus 1 provided with; a cylindrical powdery material-preparing tower 2; a spraying device 13 for spraying raw material solution into the inner part of the powdery material-preparing tower 2; a flame spouting device 14 for spouting the flame into the inner part of the powdery material-preparing tower 2 and drying liquid drips of the raw material solution and preparing the powdery material; a gas exhaust device 7 for exhausting gas in the inner part of the powdery material-preparing tower 2 together with the powdery material from a gas exhaust passage 3 in connect with the powdery material preparing tower 2; a powdery material-separating device 5 for separating the powdery material from the gas exhausted with the gas exhausting device 7; and a continuous burning furnace 10 for burning the powdery material separated with the powdery material-separating device 5: the powdery material-separating device 5 is provided with a powdery material-exhausting means 26 for continuously exhausting the separated powdery material into the continuous burning furnace 10.
