PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leakage alarm system capable of minimizing the wiring for connecting a gas meter and gas leakage alarm and shutting off the gas leakage alarm and performing return handling in a simple switch operation. SOLUTION: The gas meter 11 and gas leakage alarm 1 are connected with two signal lines 21. The gas meter 11 shuts off a gas flow by a switching means and shutoff valve 14, and transmits switching conditions of the shutoff valve 14 to the gas leakage alarm 1 by a switching condition output means. The gas leakage alarm 1 reports gas leakage when sensing the gas leakage, and outputs gas leakage shutoff signals to the gas meter 11. The gas leakage alarm 1 reports the gas leakage while the gas leakage is being sensed, and changes gas leakage report conditions when an operation section 2 is operated. The gas leakage alarm 1 also outputs a shutoff valve opening signal when the operation section 2 is operated in process of gas leakage monitoring state, and makes the shutoff valve 14 in an opening state.
