Warp-knitting and double-rib machine having a reversing magazine-weft device, by means of which a set of weft yarns can be simultaneously drawn off from a stationary bobbin creel and suspended by means of a weft carriage from one side of the machine to the other in two magazine chains which run continuously to the needle bar and which, for this purpose, have take-up pins and receive the magazine-weft yarns from yarn guides of the weft carriage, whilst, in order to vary the weft-yarn repeat, of the yarn guides provided on the weft carriage at least one of the yarn guides can be transferred selectively from its operative position into an inoperative position, in which the yarn guide does not deliver the weft yarn to the associated take-up pin of the magazine chain.
