PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal ash-mixed resin for metal plating, comprising a coal ash-polyolefin-based resin which is inexpensive and can be plated with metals, to provide a conductive member, and to provide a method for producing a conductive member. SOLUTION: This resin composition for metal plating, obtained by mixing coal ash with a polyolefin-based resin, is characterized in that the coal ash is contained in an amount of 20 to 70 wt.% based on the total amount of the coal ash and the polyolefin-based resin.
