PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a sewing data generation system of sewing machine for easily generating sewing data for forming desired pattern. SOLUTION: A sewing machine 1 as the sewing data generation system generates an outline along an outline shape of stitches based on a plurality of outline shape points stored in a ROM 23, and obtains an amount of needle swing according to a needle location corresponding to the outline so as to generate as sewing data. When a pattern that is the outline shape of stitches is changed, converted outline shape points are set by performing processing for changing positions or coordinates of the outline shape points, and an outline based on the converted outline shape points is generated, and an amount of needle swing corresponding to the outline is acquired as the sewing data.
