PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash holding tool for hinge replacement capable of stably supporting a sash and improving work efficiency. SOLUTION: The sash holding tool 100 for holding the sash 12 in replacing a hinge 30 mounted to the sash 12 of an opening device 10 provided at a building opening, comprises a fixing means 110 detachably mounted to a part separated from the hinge of the sash, and bar-like operating means 150, 160. The sash holding tool 100 further comprises engaging members 130, 140 provided at the fixing means, and engaged members 152, 162 provided at one ends of the operating means. The engaging members are engaged with the engaged members, and the other ends of the operating means are arranged on the indoor side from the building opening.
