<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver which can perform accurate and stabilized drive control by driving an electromechanical conversion element at a drive frequency f satisfying a relation f≥2<SP>1/2</SP>×f<SB>0</SB>thereby suppressing influence of resonance. <P>SOLUTION: The driver 100 comprises an electromechanical conversion element 12 which can be expanded/contracted by inputting an electrical signal, a drive member 14 fixed to one end of the electromechanical conversion element 12 in the expanding/contracting direction, an actuator 10 equipped with a weight member 18 fixed to the end of the conversion element 12 on the other side in the expanding/contracting direction, a driven member 16 friction engaging with the drive member 14, and a drive circuit 26 for applying an electrical signal to the conversion element 12 wherein the drive circuit 26 drives the conversion element 12 at a frequency f satisfying a relation f≥2<SP>1/2</SP>×f<SB>0</SB>, assuming the resonance frequency of one freedom system employing the conversion element 12 and the drive member 14 as masses and the weight member 18 as a spring is f<SB>0</SB>, and the drive frequency of the conversion element 12 is f. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
