PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic still camera by which anyone can easily photograph a high definition video image. SOLUTION: The electronic still camera is constituted by providing a means for determining whether a photographed image is a two-dimensional code, a means for developing the two-dimensional code when the photographed image is the two-dimensional code and a means for reading photography setting data among pieces of developed information and setting the photography setting data in the camera. Thus, the problem that many kinds of setting unique to the electronic camera exist in the electronic still camera unlike in a silver salt camera, however, it is difficult to photograph the high definition video image without having knowledge about the various kinds of setting is dissolved.
