An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve the response speed and transmissivity of the LCD and increase a domain width without decreasing the response speed and transmissivity. An LCD includes a first substrate having a common electrode, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates. The second substrate includes gate lines(22a,22b) formed on an insulating substrate, a first data line(62a) and a second data line(62b) intersecting the gate lines, a first thin film transistor(TFT1) having an input terminal connected to the first data line, and a second thin film transistor(TFT2) having an input terminal connected to the second data line. Data signals having different polarities are respectively applied to the first and second data lines. The second substrate further includes a first pixel electrode(80) that is connected to an output terminal of the first thin film transistor and has at least two sub pixel electrodes(82,83) connected to each other, and a second pixel electrode(81) that is connected to an output terminal of the second thin film transistor and has at least two sub pixel electrodes(85,87). The sub pixel electrodes of the first pixel electrode and the sub pixel electrodes of the second pixel electrode are alternately arranged.
