A polynucleotide for diagnosing or treating breast cancer is provided to effectively diagnose the breast cancer by measuring the expression degree of BCRP(breast cancer related protein) gene. The polynucleotide or a complimentary polynucleotide thereof for diagnosing or treating breast cancer comprises at least 10 consecutive nucleotides derived from a polynucleotide having a nucleotide sequence described as SEQ ID : NO. 3 and is characterized in that the length is 10-100 nucleotides.
