<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless tag communications device, with which relatively high communication directivity can be realized using a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless tag communication device 12 has a PAA wait control unit 46 which changes the communication directivity of an interrogating wave F<SB>c</SB>which is a unit of communication for establishing communication of information with a wireless tag 14, from the start of transmission of the interrogating wave F<SB>c</SB>by completion of transmission (S3 to S8 and S10). In this way, the range of effective communication directivity for the communication of information with the wireless tag 14 can be limited to a range, in which the communication directivity overlaps, before and after the change in communication as a unit, for example.
