<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive composting device with a simple structure which can suitably retain an environment where aerobic bacteria are easily propagated, and also has reduced troubles, and to provide a composting method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The composting device for household garbage is equipped with: a fermenter in which a cylindrical circumferential wall is arranged around a horizontal rotary shaft, and which is provided with vent holes; and a supporting stand for freely rotatably supporting the rotary shaft of the fermenter, and the fermenter comprises: a freely openable/closable cover at a part of the circumferential wall; and two or more tandems of screw blades in which the rotating direction is inverted at the inside face of the circumferential wall. In the composting method for household garbage, kitchen garbage is charged to the fermenter of the composting device charged with a composting base containing aerobic bacteria and using a crushed wood as a substrate, and newly charged kitchen garbage present at the inside of the fermenter and the composting base are stirred by the forward/backward rotation of the fermenter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
