PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the cooling structure of a superconducting motor and to improve torque. SOLUTION: A field superconducting coil 24 is provided in a rotor 18, a magnetic body 23a (protrusion) is arranged in the hollow section of the superconducting coil 24, both the superconducting coil 24 and the magnetic body 23a are surrounded by a vacuum heat insulation container 19, and refrigerant is contained in the vacuum heat insulation container 19 thus cooling the superconducting coil 24 and the magnetic body 23a.
