A mobile terminal is provided to solve a problem of the related art that because a keypad is disposed at left and right sides of a display unit, a user should use both hands to input numbers or characters, and to improve the usability of a keypad and sensation of grip. A main body(10) includes a keypad(11) mounted on one portion of a front surface. A display unit(20) is disposed to be parallel to the main body(10) on the front surface of the main body(10) and displays an image. A camera unit(40) is provided at one side of the main body(10) such that it can swivel, and captures an image of a subject. A sliding part(30) is provided between the main body(10) and the display unit(20) and slidably moves the display unit(20) with respect to the main body(10) such that the keypad(11) can be exposed.
