<p>The mask has lamellar optical active areas (108) at equidistant and formed in such a manner that polarization of polarized light is changed during trans-illumination of the optical active area. Lamellar, non-transparent shadowing areas (109) are arranged parallel to the optical active areas in such a manner that the optical active areas are limited at longitudinal sides by the non-transparent shadowing areas. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a mask.</p>
