PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical memory capable of stripping off a resin stamper smoothly and improving the reusability of a resin stamper. SOLUTION: The optical memory comprises a first application process for applying an ultraviolet hardening resin material and forming a clad layer 4, a stamper sticking process for sticking a resin stamper 24 for forming concave and convex parts for information reproduction on the surface of the clad layer 4, a first hardening process for irradiating the clad layer 4 with an ultraviolet ray and hardening it, a stamper stripping off process for stripping off the resin stamper 24, a second application process for applying a hardening resin material and forming a core layer 3, and a second hardening process for hardening the core layer 3. In the first application process, the peripheral part of he clad layer 4 is removed by a predetermined width. In the stamper sticking process, the peripheral part on the lower surface of the resin stamper 24 is not touched by the clad layer 4. In the stamper stripping off process, the edge part 24c is gripped by a clamp 25, and a force is given in the direction that the resin stamper 24 is curved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
