PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process paper for wet production of a synthetic leather, having excellent embossability, and maintaining the emboss shape even after being repeatedly used in the wet production process of the synthetic leather. SOLUTION: The process paper is obtained by laminating a heat-resistant releasing resin on both surfaces of a base paper consisting essentially of a plant pulp and having characteristics of≥80 g/m<SP>2</SP>unit weight,≤0.75 g/cm<SP>3</SP>density,≤100 sec air permeability and≥65 sec sizing degree so as to have each≥15μm thickness.
