A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiver having a destination arrival information notification function and a notification method thereof are provided to generate destination arrival information while DMB is received, and to notify a user of the generated information, therefore the user is able to prepare to get off. Destination information is inputted(S105). Destination gap filler ID information corresponding to the inputted destination information is detected(S110). DMB data which contains the gap filler ID information is received(S115). The received gap filler ID information is detected from the DMB data(S120). The number of gap fillers existing between the detected destination gap filler ID information and the detected gap filler ID information is counted(S125). Based on the number of the gap fillers, destination arrival information is outputted(S130-S150).
