<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin and a bearing device using the pin, which are advantageous in strength because the pin is quenchable upto the vicinity of a collar in the pin for connecting components of a working machine. <P>SOLUTION: The locking collar 14 provided at the end of the pin 1 is formed in tapered shape 24a gradually reduced in diameter on the pin body part 1b side. A quenched part 4 of the pin 1 is provided up to the tapered part 14a of the pin or its vicinity.
