PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which is made smaller, lighter and thinner one. SOLUTION: A secondary battery 60 is fixed with an electronic device, supplies a power to the electronic device, and is provided with: a lamination of cells 61, in which a plurality of battery cells 3 of which the cathode, the anode and the electrolyte are housed in a package 23 and of which a cathode terminal 21 and anode terminal 22 are led out through the same side surface 3a of the package 23 from the cathode and anode respectively, are laminated so that each cathode terminal 21 and anode terminal 22 face in the same direction; a metal battery can 62 on which an opening mouth 63 into which the cell lamination 61 is inserted is formed and which houses the cell lamination 61 so that the side surface 3a through which the cathode terminal 21 and the anode terminal 23 are led out face the side of the opening mouth 63; and a plastic cover 64 which is provided with terminal parts 71, 72 with which the cathode terminal 21 and the anode terminal 22 are connected and are placed outside to be connected with electrodes of an electronic device, and covers the opening mouth 63 of the battery can 62.
