An absorbent structure, for use in a diaper, an incontinence pad, a sanitary article or the like, has at least one absorbent layer including fluff pulp and superabsorbent particles. The average absorption capacity per superabsorbent particle in the absorbent layer is greater than 8.0 mg sodium chloride solution, and the number of superabsorbent particles per cm³ of the absorbent layer is smaller than 1100. A diaper, an incontinence pad, a sanitary article or the like includes this absorbent structure.
