<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing system which does not require the installation of new control software even though a post-processing device having different sheet conveyance speed is connected to an image forming apparatus or the like when the sheet information of the post-processing device is not stored in the image forming apparatus or the like, and in which the sheet information of the post-processing device need not be input manually after connecting the image forming apparatus to the post-processing device or after connecting the sheet feeding device to the post-processing device, by which there is no anxiety about the loss of an information medium and which easily achieves interlocked working in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section; a sheet feeding section to feed sheets to the image forming section; a sheet ejection section to eject the sheet to the post-processing device; a communication section to communicate with the post-processing device, and a control section to control the image forming section and the sheet feeding section. Setting information of the post-processing device contains sheet distance information and conveyance speed information, the control section controls the image forming section, the sheet feeding section and the sheet ejection section according to the setting information of the post-processing device received from the post-processing device via the communication section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
