PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording disk drive for applying bias magnetic preload with a gravity direction added thereto. SOLUTION: A magnet 60 disposed on the top face of an extended part 23 of a bearing holding member 20 has a semicircle shape as the maximum shaper and is disposed in the same direction as the extraction direction of a tray 5 in the circumferential direction. By the pulling force in the axial direction between the magnet 60 and a rotor holder 80, bias magnetic preload is generated. Consequently, a shaft 70 tilts at an angle different from the gravity direction or a direction opposite to the gravity direction to thereby suppress whirling without offsetting the gravity and the bias magnetic preload.
