PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical void ratio meter necessary for instantaneously measuring an average void ratio in a complicated flow path under a high-temperature and high-pressure, in order to execute a safety test on a light water reactor or a thermal flow simulation test as a development test. SOLUTION: This electric-type (impedance-type) void ratio measuring method has been developed as a practical void ratio measuring method in order to instantaneously measure the void ratio of a two-phase flow in a flow path under conditions of high-temperature and high-pressure. Experimentally, a relation between impedance (a resistance component in AC resistance: an R component and a capacitance component: a C component is covered) of a two-phase flow and a void ratio is cleared to be a definite functional characteristic.
