Method and apparatus for cooling of cement or cementitious powders

The method involves spraying a cooling medium and a cement or cementitious powder by a two component nozzle (8) into a silo (10). The medium and the cement or cementitious powder is intermixed in the mixing region of the nozzle, which discharge into the silo. The nozzle is formed in such a manner that a material stream of the cement or cementitious powder is absorbed within a cooling medium stream during the discharge from the nozzle. An independent claim is also included for a device for cooling cement or cementitious powder.
