PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take a photograph without making a mistake in a photographing device equipped with a two-stage type release button for performing photographing preparation operation when it is half-depressed, and performing photography when it is fully depressed thereafter. SOLUTION: A second photographing mode in which photographing preparation control is performed by half-depressing the release button and photographing is performed by not only fully depressing but also half-depressing it again thereafter is provided in addition to a first photographing mode in which photographing preparation control is performed by half-depressing the release button and photographing is performed by fully depressing it thereafter. Then, the first photographing mode and the second photographing mode can be selected. In the second photographing mode, a person who is inexperienced in the operation of the two-stage type release button can surely take a photograph without misunderstanding that photographing is completed by half-depressing the release button even when such a person takes the photograph.
