METHOD FOR TREATING FATTY ACID PITCH AND EQUIPMENT FOR TREATING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating fatty acid pitch, capable of preventing carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse effect gas from diffusing in the air. SOLUTION: This method for treating the fatty acid pitch has a process in which coal is fed into a coke oven 10 for producing coke and a process in which the fatty acid pitch is added to the coal before the coal is fed into the coke oven 10. The fatty acid pitch is added onto the coal laid on a coal conveyor belt 11 for transferring the coal. The method may further has a process in which the fatty acid pitch fed into the coke oven 10 together with the coal is carbonized together with the coal and a process in which the fatty acid pitch is recovered as a by-product after carbonization. The method may furthermore has a process in which the fatty acid pitch is preserved in a tank at a prescribed temperature together with tar sludge, a process in which the fatty acid pitch in the tank is delivered together with the tar sludge, and a process in which the delivered fatty acid pitch and the tar sludge are added to the coal.
