PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount an electric component box on the back surface of an outdoor unit while preventing electric components in the electric component box from being affected by rainwater and also enhancing the ventilating property in the electric component box to promote heat radiation of the electric parts. SOLUTION: The electric component box 15 having a vertically-long rectangular box shape is mounted on the back surface of the outdoor unit. The box includes both left and right side plates 15C and 15D each including a lower air hole part 17 having a number of air holes 17A and an upper non-hole part 18, a lateral pair of waterproof walls 19A and 19B vertically provided on the inside of both the side plates with a predetermined ventilation space Y from both the side plates, and an electric substrate 22 arranged on the inside of the lateral pair of waterproof walls. The lateral pair of waterproof walls include waterproof wall-side non-hole parts 23 formed in portions opposed to the lower air hole parts of both the side plates, and waterproof wall-side air hole parts 24 having a number of inside air holes 24A formed in portions opposed to the upper non-hole parts of both the side plates.
