<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical apparatus capable of improving color reproduction and efficiently arranging data lines, and to provide electronic equipment provided with the electro-optical apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical apparatus and electronic equipment comprises a plurality of pixels disposed, corresponding to intersections between a plurality of scanning lines 11 and a plurality of datalines 12; and a plurality of color filters disposed corresponding to the pixels. The color filters comprises a first filter group 61, consisting of two kinds of color filters and a second filter group 62 consisting of two kinds of color filters which have area smaller than that of each of the two kinds of color filters, constituting the first filter group 61.
