Two plastic components of different hardness are injected into a single component molding tool using. Injection uses a sandwich injection principle in which a soft component is injected(7) from the ear side end(5) of the side piece(1) to fill the outer side of the tool cavity at the ear side end of the side piece(4). A second harder component is then injected, also from the ear side end, which penetrates inside the first component and completely fills the cavity at the hinge side end(2) of the frame to form the body(4) of the side piece. Part or all of the injection tool surface is roughened by erosion, photoetching or similar process. The two components may be of different colors so that the softer end of the side-piece(1) stands out from the hinge area(2) and the side piece body(4).
