PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat weight sensor exerting no adverse influence on a load sensor installed in a housing when joining a pair of flanges to a slide rail without increasing the number of components. SOLUTION: This seat weight sensor 10 is equipped with a load cell 2 wherein the load sensor 2s is installed, and a support part 1 for holding a support shaft 2b of the load cell 2. The support part 1 has a projection part 13 whose center part is ridged, for holding the support shaft 2b; and the pair of flanges 11/12 provided on both wings of the projection part 13, and fixed on the floor side in a car. The support part 1 is provided with a pair of narrow gap holes 15/16 for reducing a stress acting on the projection part 13 by the pair of flanges 11/12, on the periphery of the projection part 13.
