PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyester, suppressing the change of a following polycondensation reaction by suppressing the change of the carboxy terminal group concentrations of a polyester oligomer supplied into a polycondensation vessel in a simplified method and capable of producing a uniform polyester stably. SOLUTION: This method for producing the polyester continuously by preparing slurry consisting of a dicarboxylic acid and a glycol in a slurry preparation vessel, feeding the slurry by a constant amount continuously into an esterification reaction vessel, performing the esterification reaction by using multiple esterification vessels and then performing the polycondensation is provided by controlling the carboxy terminal concentration at the exit of a first esterification reaction vessel within a set value±10%.
