<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an hypotensive agent composition that is effective for hypertensives, has no adverse effect, suitable for long-term administration and is safe, foods such as a health food, a health supplement, etc., containing the composition or a beverage containing them, a medicine by combining the hypotensive agent composition with another medicine for antihypertension or an ordinary medicine or a hypotensive agent composition by combining the hypotensive agent composition with another health food for antihypertension and to provide a method for enhancing pharmacological action of γ-aminobutyric acid and theanine. <P>SOLUTION: The hypotensive agent composition comprises γ-amino butyric acid and theanine in the weight ratio of 5.5:4.5-3:7.
