PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impedance measuring method and its apparatus capable of simply, inexpensively, and accurately measuring the impedance of an element to be measured to which a high ac voltage is applied. SOLUTION: A total of four measured values are determined, which are a voltage-side instrument reading and a current-side instrument reading derived by a voltage measuring instrument 6 when a switch 7 is in an off-state, and a voltage-side instrument reading and a current-side instrument reading derived by the measuring instrument 6 when the switch 7 is in an on-state, and by these measured values and the impedance Zr being already-known of an element 3, the impedance Z of the element 2 to be measured is determined.
