A light guiding plate and a display device using the same are provided to emit the light through an upper surface of the light guiding plate through diffused reflection and refraction of light, thereby improving the illumination of the light guiding plate, by discontinuously forming groove parts in the light guiding plate. A light guiding plate(10) of an acryl material comprises a side surface(12), which a light enters, a lower surface(13), and an upper surface(14) opposite to the lower surface. The lower surface has groove parts(16) for diffusively reflecting the light. The upper surface emits the light diffusively reflected from the groove parts of the lower surface. The farther the groove parts are from the light source, the deeper the groove parts are. The groove parts positioned on the same line are formed discontinuously. |
