PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior building material holding sufficient concealing property and decorativeness without having a catalytic function on the other coating film of a base material by a coating film containing a photocatalyst serving as a surface coating film while decomposing and eliminating noxious substance in indoor air, e.g., an organic compound such as formaldehyde and odorant such as ammonia by a visible light type photocatalyst. SOLUTION: An inorganic protective layer is interposed between an organic coating film layer applied onto the base material, and a visible light type photocatalyst-containing inorganic coating film layer applied onto the surface.
