PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a patterned aluminum extruded material having excellent weatherability and durability by a simple means in which a stripe-like pattern is sharply made to appear. SOLUTION: An aluminum extruded material in a state where stripe-like fine wrinkles are made to appear or an aluminum alloy with different Si contents is buried on the surface is subjected to anodization treatment. A difference in light and shade is produced on the formed anodized coating, and the difference in light and dark is made to appear as a pattern. Since, in the part having the fine wrinkles, subtle ruggedness is produced on the formed anodized coating, it exhibits a color darker than that in a flat part. An Si compound is largely incorporated into the anodized coating formed on the part having a high Si content in the surface of the extruded material to reduce its transparency, and it exhibits a color lighter than that in the part having a low Si content.
