It is possible to provide a display device capable of reducing the number of parts and the number of assembly steps and reducing the quantity of electric wiring which disturbs the assembly work. A direct electric connection is made between a common substrate (22a) mounted on the periphery of a liquid crystal display panel (2) and a light source drive circuit substrate (31a) for driving a light source lamp (14) of the liquid crystal display panel (2), so that the light source drive circuit substrate (31a) can receive drive power and a synchronization signal via the direct electric connection.
