PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffuser plate capable of suppressing excessive temperature rising of a display part, to provide a backlight unit provided with the diffuser plate, to provide an electrooptical device provided with the backlight unit, to provide an electronic equipment equipped with the electrooptical device, and to provide a method for manufacturing the backlight unit.

SOLUTION: The diffuser plate 1 is constituted by coating a first surface 3 of a diffuser plate part 7 opposite to a liquid crystal display part 51 with materials 8a, 8b having thermal emissivity smaller than that of material of the diffuser plate part 7.
