An upper and lower cross units (72,73) extend between upper and lower portion of a pair of frames (71). A connection portion (74) extends between the cross units to form several openings (75,76) facing a front end portion of a shaft drive mechanism (140) and a rear swing arm (110). The connection portion overlapping with a center line of motorcycle with respect to motorcycle width direction is arranged at a position biased towards the frame forming the opening facing drive mechanism. An independent claim is included for rear swing arm.
