#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves conducting a compressed inert gas with a defined flow-rate into a fire-extinguishing or protection area (1) comprising extinguishing nozzles (2) to maintain an intended room pressure. A defined pressure is adjusted in the pressure area. The gas flow-rate is controlled in coordination with an incoming air system, an exhaust-air-system or an air circulation system. A flow-rate of the main gas stream is controlled. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a system for executing a method for introducing inert gas. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used in a fire-extinguishing system for introducing inert gas e.g. nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide or other gases into a closed room for preventing and extinguishing fire in the closed room. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method conducts the compressed inert gas with the defined flow-rate into the fire-extinguishing or protection area to maintain the intended room pressure, thus permitting to use a fire-extinguishing system even in pressure sensitive areas and avoiding high initial flow rates of the inert gas. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a layout and a functional diagram of a system for executing a method for introducing inert gas, without a blower. 1 : Protection area 2 : Extinguishing nozzles 3 : Supply pipe 6 : Inert gas flow rate limiting unit 9 : Ventilator. |
