<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key system capable of collectively erasing only a key code of an additional key, by identifying a key code of a normal key and the key code of the additional key. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic key system allows unlocking operation to a lock device in coincidence, by collating a key code stored and held in the lock device locking an entrance to a predetermined space with a key code stored and held in an electronic key, by using bidirectional communication. The key code includes an identification code proper to the electronic key and an attribute code indicating an attribute (the normal key or the additional key) of the electronic key. The lock device erases the key code including the attribute code indicating the fact of being the additional key among the key codes stored and held in the lock device, when executing predetermined operation (including operation using the normal key).
