PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for decomposing, removing and deodorizing formaldehyde in air. SOLUTION: In medical facilities, formalin is a medicament essential for disinfection, biological tissue treatment, etc. and is used properly. This method and apparatus are provided for efficiently reducing formaldehyde in the space of the facilities which is evaporated from formalin and which can have a bad influence to a human body. The method continuously or intermittently atomizes a formaldehyde decomposition and removal agent from an ultrasonic atomizer according to need to reduce formaldehyde in its using facility space. By automatically atomizing the formaldehyde decomposition and removal agent, the most preferrably the aluminum potassium sulfate dilution water, continuously to intermittently with the method in the figure using the atomizer; the formaldehyde concentration in the facility is reduced efficiently and actively with small labor.
