PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing sticking of a metal fragment to a guardrail which method prevents peeling of a vehicle door fragment at a collision of the vehicle against the guardrail to ensure the safety of pedestrians by coating bolts fixing the guardrail and the periphery of the bolts with a coating agent to put the volt and guardrail closely together. SOLUTION: The guardrail 1 is fixed to a post 3 fixing the guardrail 1 with steel bolts 2. The steel bolts 2 and their periphery are coated with the coating agent to eliminate a gap between the bolts 2 and the guardrail 1. The coating agent is applied, or sprayed, or attached by an adhesive seal to seal up the bolts 2 so that the gap between the bolts 2 and guardrail 1 formed at the vehicle's collision against the guardrail does not widen.
