A color gamut reproducing device having a wide color gamut and a color signal processing method thereof are provided to randomly set a color gamut in a displayable color scope of the device regardless of an input color signal, thereby producing a plurality of color scopes without quantization errors. A color gamut reproducing device having a wide color gamut includes a selection part(100) for selecting a target color gamut reproducing an input color signal. A calculation part(310) mixes original colors of the color gamut of the device and calculates a mixing rate for producing original colors of the target color gamut. An original color decision part(320) mixes the original color according to the calculated mixing rate and calculates a recomposed original color. A driving part(500) controls an intensity of light generated from a light source for the input color signal to be output in the match with the color gamut decided by the recomposed original color. A display part displays the output signal.
