A light source device is provided to simultaneously use a lamp type of light source and light emitting elements, thereby reducing power consumption and improving color reproducibility. A light source device includes a lamp type of light source body(100) formed with a flat lower board and a waveform type of upper board(120), wherein a plurality of space parts are formed between the upper and lower boards. The space parts are channels injected with discharging gas and serving as discharging areas for generating visible rays by voltages applied through electrodes. The lamp type of light source body has electrodes(151,152) for applying the voltages to the respective channels. A plurality of light emitting elements(130) are positioned between the channels of the lamp type of light source body for preventing deterioration of luminance at predetermined portions of the light source device. |
