PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input method and an input system to be used for inputting data when key sizes and relative positions are complicated and keying by fingers is difficult or inputting data by mutually different combinations of buttons arranged close to each other. SOLUTION: The data input method to be used when a user simultaneously depresses a combination of keys on a keyboard comprises steps of: connecting each key combination to hardware or software having an inherent code generated when the key combination is simultaneously depressed; providing the generated inherent code to a code conversion part and allowing the code conversion part to convert the inherent code into an output code having high user's selectivity; and allowing a processor to process the converted output code and then displaying the processed output code on a display part so that the user can select and check a required code.
