<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printing ink excellent in jet stability, storage stability and scratch resistance through making image fixation and image chroma(color tone clearness) compatible with each other, which has been hard to accomplish for pigment-based ink-jet printing inks with fine particles, and to provide an ink cartridge and an ink-jet printer each using the above ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink-jet printing ink essentially comprises a pigment, water, a water-miscible organic solvent, a surfactant and an anionic self-emulsifiable ether-based polyurethane resin emulsion. The ink cartridge and an ink-jet printer each using the above ink are provided respectively.
