Suspension for steered wheel - with compensating supports to maintain tracking when displaced

The track rods (24,24') are linked to the steering rod (18) by joints (20,20') which are displaced vertically in opposite directions when the vehicle is steered. This compensates for tracking changes caused by non compensated steering. The track rods are joined to the wheel supports by outer joints (26,26'). The outer joints move in the same direction as the inner joints on each side of the steering to alter the wheel setting. The tracking is maintained when the wheels are steered and when the wheels are displaced by road movements. ADVANTAGE - Stable steering, improved cornering handling.
